About the Role

Data Pulse Tech is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mobile operating systems and secure application development to build and maintain critical cybersecurity solutions. You will work directly with our sponsor on-site, developing robust security applications and tools using industry-standard programming languages while adhering to the highest security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cybersecurity applications for Android and iOS platforms
  • Implement secure coding practices and conduct security assessments of mobile applications
  • Develop backend security tools and utilities using C and Python
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
  • Analyze and reverse-engineer mobile applications to identify potential security threats
  • Support incident response activities and forensic analysis when required
  • Document technical specifications and security protocols
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and mobile security best practices
  • Work closely with our sponsor to meet mission-critical security requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Android or iOS operating systems development
  • 3+ years of programming experience in C and Python
  • Strong understanding of mobile security frameworks and best practices
  • Experience with secure application development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) while on contract
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mobile application penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
  • Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and implementation
  • Familiarity with malware analysis and reverse engineering tools
  • Experience working within the defense sector on cybersecurity projects
  • Understanding of network security protocols and architecture
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages (Java, Swift, JavaScript)
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or similar)
